The thirteenth edition of Didacta Italia, held in Florence at the Fortezza da Basso from March 11 to 13, 2026, concluded with record-breaking numbers: over 25,000 attendees across the three days, marking an unprecedented turnout.
Didacta Italia 2026 focused on key themes such as educational innovation, inclusion, and future skills, confirming its role as a strategic platform for dialogue among institutions, schools, research bodies, and businesses. The event offered a comprehensive overview of the most advanced solutions for the education system: from publishing to technologies, from services to training, as well as spaces dedicated to artistic and musical education and sustainability.
The 2026 edition celebrated the bicentenary of Carlo Collodi, highlighting his educational message through special initiatives and a dedicated exhibition curated by INDIRE, which explored the pedagogical value of the author and his famous character, Pinocchio. This journey reflects the path toward awareness and autonomy, bridging pedagogical tradition and contemporary challenges.
Among the new features was the participation, for the first time, of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, with projects and awareness campaigns aimed at young people, including a focus on eating disorders and the role of schools in prevention.
The presence of the university and higher education system was also confirmed and strengthened, thanks to collaboration with MUR, CRUI, and AFAM.
Didacta Italia thus reaffirms itself as an essential reference point for the professional development and continuous training of school staff, thanks to a rich program of workshops, seminars, exhibitor events, academic sessions, and innovative formats such as the #SocialProf area, where some of the most innovative figures in the education sector—ambassadors and content creators—came together.
